CoiffeurApp Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
CoiffeurApp connects clients with hair salons in Mauritania (appointment booking, home visits, booking follow-up). This policy explains what data we process, why, and how to delete it.
2. Data we collect
Account: phone number (verified by SMS code), name, account type (client or hairdresser), Men/Women preference, language, optional profile photo, PIN (stored only as an irreversible hash).
Bookings: appointments, services, prices, history, reviews and ratings, reports, favorites, loyalty card, referrals.
Location: precise device location, only while the app is open and if you allow it, to show nearby salons, the map, home-visit tracking and (hairdressers) to place your salon. No background location.
Hairdressers: salon name and address, portfolio photos, hours, prices, and, to obtain the "verified" badge, a photo or PDF of your national ID (CNI) viewable only by the verification team. Subscription payment proofs: a screenshot of a transfer, checked manually.
Device and security: installation identifier, IP address, log of sign-ins and code requests, push notification token, crash reports and anonymous usage statistics.
Camera and photos: only when you choose to scan a QR code or add a photo; uploaded photos are re-encoded (EXIF/GPS metadata removed).
We do not collect contacts, microphone data or advertising identifiers, and we do not run targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.
3. Why we use your data
To create and secure your account, manage bookings and notifications (confirmation, reminder, cancellation), show nearby salons, verify hairdressers' identity, validate subscriptions, prevent fraud and abuse (SMS limits, duplicate-account detection), moderate content (photos are automatically analysed), fix bugs and improve the service.
4. Who we share it with
The hairdresser you book sees your name, your profile photo and, for a home visit, the address you provide. Published reviews show your abbreviated first name.
Service providers (processors): Google Firebase (push notifications, crash reports, statistics), Google Maps (maps), Google Cloud Vision (detection of inappropriate content in photos), ChinguiSoft (SMS delivery), Cloudflare (security and delivery), our server host. They act only on our behalf.
Your data is never sold. It may be disclosed to an authority where the law requires it.
5. Retention
Account data is kept while the account exists. SMS codes are purged after 7 days. After a deletion request the account is deactivated and recoverable for 30 days, then anonymised (see section 6).
6. Account deletion and your rights
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile > Delete my account (confirmed by PIN or SMS code). For 30 days you can cancel by signing in again. After that your name, number, profile photo, location, PIN, ID document, portfolio photos, payment-proof images, home-visit addresses, notifications and salon page are erased. Only the accounting and statistical records needed (bookings, subscriptions, ratings), with no link to your identity, and reviews shown as "Deleted user" are kept.

7. Security
HTTPS connections, SMS codes stored as hashes, hashed PIN, restricted access to ID documents, anti-abuse limits. No system is infallible; report any vulnerability through the Contact section.
8. Children
The service is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
This policy may change; the update date is shown at the top and the app will notify you of significant changes.
